The depreciation deepened over longer periods, with the currency down 2.55% month-on-month and 3.48% on a quarterly basis, reflecting persistent weakness throughout the second half of the year. From a year-to-date perspective, the rupee has slipped 7.13%, while on an annual comparison it has registered a steeper 7.89% decline, highlighting the magnitude of pressure faced by emerging market currencies in 2025. The rupee touched its yearly high of ₹84.29 on May 5, 2025, before embarking on a sustained downward trajectory. The yearly low of ₹90.94, recorded on December 16, marks the weakest level of the currency during the period under review.Disclaimer: PolyMart does not offer guarantees regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of the information provided on its platform.
