Crude prices saw a notable jump, closing at 70.13 compared to 66.68 last week, marking a 5.17% gain. On a monthly basis, crude also climbed by 5.14% while quarterly growth stood at 3.54%. Despite the recent surge, crude remains 1.35% lower year-on-year, with the yearly high at 82.03 and low at 58.95. The currency market reflected weakness as the rupee closed at 88.67 against 88.10 last week, showing a weekly decline of 0.65%. On a monthly basis, the rupee depreciated by 1.19% and quarterly by 3.54%. Year-on-year, the fall stood at 6.06%, highlighting consistent downward pressure. Natural gas prices rallied strongly, closing at 3.20 from 2.88 last week, recording an impressive 11.11% rise. The monthly increase was even sharper at 14.70%. However, on a quarterly scale, natural gas dipped 1.84%. On a yearly basis, gas surged 24.03%, with the yearly high at 4.49 and low at 2.30.
