Polymer Market Sees Mixed Trends Amid Stabilizing Demand
The Indian polymer market presented a mixed performance during the week ending November 9, 2025, with some grades witnessing price corrections while others held steady or gained marginally. PP Raffia prices declined to ₹83.00/kg, marking a 1.19% weekly and monthly drop. Compared to the previous quarter, PP Raffia is down 7.78%, and on a yearly basis, it has fallen 9.78% from ₹92.00/kg a year ago. The grade remains 15.31% below its yearly high of ₹98.00/kg (April 18, 2025) but still 0.61% above its yearly low of ₹82.50/kg (October 15, 2025), indicating a near-bottom consolidation phase. LLDPE closed steady at ₹86.00/kg, unchanged both weekly and monthly. However, it is down 5.49% quarterly and 2.82% lower year-on-year, from ₹88.50/kg in November 2024. The product is trading at its yearly low, recorded at the same price, and remains 11.34% below its yearly high of ₹97.00/kg (October 7, 2025), showing signs of market stabilization after continuous declines. HDPE Blow Moulding (BM) also maintained a flat weekly close at ₹86.00/kg, though it slipped 0.58% monthly and 7.03% quarterly. On a yearly scale, HDPE BM prices are down 3.91%, but still 2.38% above the yearly low of ₹84.00/kg (December 31, 2024). Prices are 7.53% below the yearly high of ₹93.00/kg (August 7, 2025), indicating balanced market sentiment with cautious demand. LDPE saw a modest correction, slipping 1.84% weekly and monthly to ₹106.50/kg. On a quarterly basis, it declined 4.05%, though it remains 1.43% higher than last year’s ₹105.00/kg. The product stands 4.41% above its yearly low of ₹102.00/kg (December 29, 2024) but 7.79% below the yearly high of ₹115.50/kg (April 2, 2025), suggesting moderate price resilience backed by steady packaging and coating demand. PVC emerged as the only gainer among the tracked grades, rising 1.48% weekly and 2.24% monthly to ₹68.50/kg. Quarterly, it edged up 0.74%, supported by post-monsoon construction activity. However, PVC remains 11.61% lower year-on-year, and still 21.71% below its yearly peak of ₹87.50/kg (June 3, 2025), even as it stays 7.03% above the yearly low of ₹64.00/kg (May 8, 2025). Overall, the polymer sector continues to reflect a cautious yet improving sentiment. While PP and HDPE grades remain under pressure due to limited downstream offtake, PVC and LDPE show gradual signs of revival.Disclaimer: PolyMart does not offer guarantees regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of the information provided on its platform.
