Price Updates by domestic polymer producer - October 1, 2023
Domestic polymer key producer have made significant announcements regarding price adjustments for various polymer products, effective from October 1, 2023. These changes encompass a wide range of polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP) grades. RIL (Reliance Industries Limited): RIL has decided to maintain the prices of PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) and PP (Polypropylene) grades, effective from October 1, 2023. In a noteworthy move, RIL has reduced PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) prices by Rs. 3/kg at the basic level, also effective from October 1, 2023. For HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene), RIL will implement a price decrease of Rs. 3/kg across all grades, except for HD Injection molding and Raffia grades, which will see a reduction of Rs. 1.5/kg. Similarly, LLDPE (Linear Low-Density Polyethylene) prices will be decreased by Rs. 3/kg across all grades, except for LLDPE Roto grades, where prices will be reduced by Rs. 2.5/kg. On the other hand, LDPE (Low-Density Polyethylene) prices will witness a hike of Re. 1/kg across all grades, except for LDPE EC and LDPE IM grades, which will remain unchanged. Prices for other LDPE and HDPE grades will be lowered by Rs. 4/kg. Supreme Petrochem: Supreme Petrochem has chosen to maintain the prices of PS (Polystyrene) grades, effective from October 1, 2023. Notably, the GPPS 203EL grade price stands at Rs. 113/kg at the basic level, while the HIPS SH03 grade price is set at Rs. 120/kg, Ex-Nagothane. HPL (Haldia Petrochemicals Limited): HPL has announced its price adjustments for PP and PE grades, effective from October 1, 2023. PP grade prices will remain unchanged. For HDPE, HPL has reduced prices for IM/RFY/MF grades by Rs. 1.50/kg, while other HDPE prices are generally down by Rs. 3/kg. LLDPE ROTO prices from HPL will be lower by Rs. 2.50/kg, whereas other LLDPE prices have been revised lower by Rs. 3/kg. IOCL (Indian Oil Corporation Limited): IOCL has also unveiled its price changes for PP and PE grades, effective from October 1, 2023. PP grade prices have been left unchanged. For HDPE, IOCL has made various adjustments with Yarn/Raffia grade prices decreasing by Rs. 1.40/kg, IM grade prices reducing by Rs. 1.60/kg, BM grade prices down by Rs. 2.90/kg, and HM-Film & All HDPE Pipe grade prices declining by Rs. 3.10/kg. LLDPE Roto grade prices will drop by Rs. 2.60/kg, while all other LLDPE grade prices will lower by Rs. 3.10/kg. OPaL (ONGC Petro additions Limited): OPaL has also revealed its price revisions for PP and PE grades, effective from October 1, 2023. PP grade prices have been left unchanged. For HDPE, OPaL will decrease prices for Raffia/MF/IM grades by Rs. 1.50/kg, while all other HDPE grades will see a reduction of Rs. 3/kg. LLDPE Roto moulding prices from OPaL will be reduced by Rs. 2.50/kg, and LLDPE high flow prices will drop by Rs. 3.50/kg. All other LLDPE grades will witness a decrease of Rs. 3/kg.
