Nayara Energy to Develop 650,000 TPA Polyethylene Facility in Gujarat with Unipol PE Technology

Nayara Energy Limited has confirmed the adoption of Univation Technologies’ Unipol™ PE process technology for its upcoming polyethylene production facility in Vadinar, Gujarat. The plant is planned to have an estimated annual capacity of 650,000 tonnes, marking a notable addition to the company’s downstream operations. The Unipol PE process has been selected due to its operational advantages, including relatively low capital and operating costs, along with the ability to produce a broad spectrum of polyethylene resins. These include linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) and high-density polyethylene (HDPE), which are intended to meet varying requirements of the Indian market. The project will also integrate Premier APC+™ 3.0 Advanced Process Control Platform, which is specifically designed for use with the Unipol PE process. This system aims to support improved material efficiency, stable operations, and smooth transitions between different resin grades, contributing to overall process optimization.
