Crude oil prices continued their downward trajectory this week, closing at 63.63 compared to 64.77 the previous week, marking a 1.76% weekly decline. On a monthly and quarterly basis, crude slipped 2.78% and 4.21%, respectively. The year-on-year change shows a sharp fall of 15.87% from last year’s 75.63. The commodity reached its yearly low of 58.95 on 4 May 2025, and its high of 82.03 on 15 January 2025, reflecting a 22.43% drop from the peak. In the currency market, the USD-INR pair traded steadily, closing at 88.66 versus 88.76 a week earlier, showing a 0.11% weekly rise. Over the month, the change was marginal at 0.08%, while the quarterly performance indicated a 1.41% decline. Year-on-year, the rupee weakened 5.18% against the dollar. The pair touched a yearly high of 84.26 on 25 November 2024 and a yearly low of 88.86 on 7 November 2025. Natural gas prices witnessed a significant surge, closing at 4.31, up 4.61% weekly. The monthly rise stood at 22.79%, while the quarterly and yearly gains were an impressive 40.39% and 60.22%, respectively. The year’s low was 2.66 on 10 November 2024, and the high of 4.49 on 10 March 2025, indicating a 4.01% drop from the peak.
