Date – 10/01/2023 On Tuesday, the Indian Rupee reached a new five-week high, surpassing 82 to a single United States Dollar, due to the gains observed in its Asian counterparts. The fluctuations in the value of the domestic currency were influenced by the recent data regarding wages in the United States, which indicated that the Federal Reserve may moderate its previously established aggressive rate hikes. The Indian Rupee opened at 82.29 and achieved a peak value of 81.7925 to a single US Dollar, a level that had not been reached since December 2. This shift in policy is expected to maintain a limit on the DXY (US Dollar Index) and restrict its gains to around 105.50 levels. The Indian Rupee, commenced trading at 82.29 and reached a high of 82.23 to a single United States Dollar, a level not seen since December 9.
