Polymer Industry Updates: Incentives and Price Reductions Announced for September 2024
Domestic polymer producers have announced special incentive schemes and price reductions for September 2024. OPaL's Special Incentive Scheme: OPaL (ONGC Petro additions Limited) has introduced a special incentive scheme for its Polypropylene (PP) and Polyethylene (PE) grades for the month of September 2024. The scheme offers attractive discounts based on AMSP order bookings: PP Grades: ≥75%: Discount a1 (₹/MT) ≥100%: Discount a2 (₹/MT) ≥125%: Discount a3 (₹/MT) PE Grades: HDPE: ≥75%: Discount ẞ1 (₹/MT) ≥100%: Discount ẞ2 (₹/MT) ≥125%: Discount ẞ3 (₹/MT) LLDPE: ≥75%: Discount y1 (₹/MT) ≥100%: Discount y2 (₹/MT) ≥125%: Discount y3 (₹/MT) MRPL's Incentive Scheme for PP Grades: MRPL (Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited) has launched a CQI-linked special incentive scheme for Polypropylene (PP) for September 2024, based on monthly quotas (MQ): ≥60% & <80% of MQ: MG1 ≥80% & <100% of MQ: MG2 ≥100% of MQ: MG3 Key Highlights 1. The monthly incentive is capped at 120% of MQ. 2. Entire lifting up to 120% of MQ will be eligible for MG3 discounts. 3. Discount values for MG1, MG2, and MG3 will be announced in the first week of October 2024. Price Reductions in Supreme Petrochem's GPPS & HIPS Grades Supreme Petrochem has reduced prices for GPPS and HIPS grades by ₹2,000/MT, effective from 16th September 2024. Price Reductions in PET Grades: Both Reliance Industries Limited and Chiripal have announced reductions in prices of all PET grades, effective from 14th September 2024.
