Energy and currency markets as of 20 March 2026 reflected strong momentum in crude oil, weakness in the currency pair, and a modest rebound in natural gas. Crude oil rallied sharply to 109.37, gaining 6.04% weekly, 52.41% monthly, and a massive 80.87% quarterly rise. On a yearly basis, prices are up 53.03% compared to 71.47 on 20 March 2025. Crude is trading 85.62% above its yearly low of 58.92 recorded on 16 December 2025, and just -4.39% below its yearly high of 114.39 reached on 19 March 2026. In the currency market, USD INR closed at 93.60, declining -1.15% weekly, -3.16% monthly, and -4.50% quarterly, with a -8.43% yearly drop. The pair is -11.05% below its yearly high of 84.29 recorded on 5 May 2025, while currently at its yearly low of 93.60 on 20 March 2026. Meanwhile, Natural Gas rose to 3.16, posting a 0.96% weekly and 3.95% monthly gain, though still down -20.60% quarterly and -21.59% yearly. Prices are 14.91% above the yearly low of 2.75 recorded on 24 August 2025, but remain significantly -40.15% below the yearly high of 5.28 seen on 5 December 2025.
