Epigral Limited, formerly known as Meghmani Finechem Ltd, has announced a significant expansion of its Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride (CPVC) Resin and Epichlorohydrin production capacities at its integrated Dahej facility in Gujarat. The decision, approved by the company’s Board of Directors, aligns with Epigral's vision to strengthen its market position and meet the growing demand for specialty chemicals in India and globally. Epigral, an industry leader and India's first to establish an Epichlorohydrin plant, will invest an estimated ₹780 crore in this expansion, funded through a mix of internal accruals and debt. The project is expected to be completed by the first half of FY27. Details of the Expansion Plan CPVC Resin: Capacity to increase from 75,000 TPA to 150,000 TPA. Epichlorohydrin: Capacity to expand from 50,000 TPA to 100,000 TPA. Current Utilization Rates: 65% for CPVC Resin and 80% for Epichlorohydrin. Investment Justification: To capitalize on the strong growth potential of the CPVC and Epichlorohydrin markets. The Dahej facility, a backward and forward integrated complex, is equipped with state-of-the-art automation and infrastructure, ensuring operational efficiency and sustainability. This expansion will bolster Epigral’s position as a leading manufacturer of CPVC Resin, which is a crucial material for industrial and residential piping systems. Strategic Growth for Market Leadership The expansion reflects Epigral's commitment to scaling its operations to cater to the surging demand for high-performance polymers and chemicals. The company’s focus on operational excellence, coupled with a well-planned infrastructure at Dahej, will enable it to serve a broader customer base while maintaining competitive pricing. This development reinforces Epigral's reputation as a trailblazer in the chemicals sector, known for pioneering advancements such as India’s largest Epichlorohydrin facility and its diversified portfolio, including caustic soda, caustic potash, chloromethanes, and hydrogen peroxide.
