Energy and currency markets as of 17 April 2026 showed continued softness in crude oil, stability in the currency pair, and persistent weakness in natural gas. The pair is -2.09% lower quarterly and -8.46% down year-on-year, trading -9.86% below its yearly high of 84.29 (5 May 2025), while staying 2.30% above its yearly low of 94.78 recorded on 27 March 2026. Natural Gas remained unchanged at 2.67, with 0.00% weekly movement, but declined -12.46% monthly and -13.87% quarterly. It is -17.59% lower year-on-year, though 3.09% above its yearly low of 2.59 recorded on 14 April 2026, and still sharply -49.43% below its yearly high of 5.28 seen on 5 December 2025.
