Polymer Market Weekly Analysis
PP Raffia prices closed at ₹81.50/kg, showing a weekly rise of 1.24%, although still down 4.12% monthly, 7.91% quarterly, and 9.94% year-on-year. The grade has recovered slightly from its yearly low of ₹80.50/kg, but remains well below the yearly high of ₹98.00/kg recorded on 18th April 2025. The minor weekly gain indicates cautious restocking by traders amid stable propylene feedstock prices. LLDPE continued its downward momentum, settling at ₹84.50/kg. The segment fell 1.17% over the week, 2.87% over the month, and 7.14% over the quarter, while recording a 3.43% yearly decline. With the current price matching the yearly low of ₹84.50/kg, sentiment remains weak. The highest price for the year, ₹97.00/kg, was seen on 7th October 2025, reflecting how sharply prices have corrected since early Q4. HDPE BM showed minor fluctuations, closing at ₹83.50/kg, down 0.60% week-on-week. The price is lower by 4.02% monthly, 6.70% quarterly, and 3.47% annually. The material remains at its yearly low, matching the current level, while the yearly high of ₹93.00/kg was observed on 7th August 2025. Market participants cite weak bottle and blow molding demand as a key reason for the current price softness. LDPE prices eased marginally to ₹105.50/kg, reflecting a weekly fall of 0.47%, monthly decline of 3.65%, and quarterly drop of 4.52%. However, on a yearly basis, LDPE has risen 1.44%, and the year-to-date movement shows a 3.43% increase, indicating relative strength compared to other polymers. The grade has traded between a low of ₹102.00/kg (29th Dec 2024) and a high of ₹115.50/kg (2nd April 2025), driven by steady demand from film-grade applications. The PVC segment experienced the steepest correction, closing at ₹61.50/kg, a sharp 6.11% weekly and 10.87% monthly decline. Over the quarter, prices dropped 15.75%, and over the year, 17.45%, making PVC the worst performer in the group. The current price marks the yearly low, with the yearly high of ₹87.50/kg reached on 3rd June 2025. The slump is primarily attributed to sluggish demand from the construction and pipe manufacturing sectors. Overall, the polymer market continues to exhibit a weak-to-steady tone. While PP Raffia and LDPE show signs of stability, LLDPE, HDPE BM, and PVC remain under pressure due to subdued domestic consumption and lower export interest.Disclaimer: PolyMart does not offer guarantees regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of the information provided on its platform.
