Polymer Market Weekly Update
PP Raffia prices declined to ₹80.50/kg, marking a 3.01% weekly and monthly drop. Compared to the previous quarter, the grade has fallen 10.06%, and on a yearly basis, PP Raffia is down 12.97% from last year’s level. The commodity remains 17.86% below its yearly high of ₹98.00/kg (April 18, 2025), while holding exactly at its yearly low of ₹80.50/kg, indicating strong bearish pressure and a clear bottom-range consolidation. LLDPE closed softer at ₹85.50/kg, slipping 0.58% weekly and monthly. The grade is down 5.52% for the quarter and 2.84% year-on-year, compared to ₹88.00/kg in November 2024. LLDPE is currently sitting at its yearly low of ₹85.50/kg, and remains 11.86% below its yearly high of ₹97.00/kg (October 7, 2025), reflecting continued sluggish demand across film and lamination sectors. HDPE Blow Moulding (BM) ended the week at ₹84.00/kg, registering a 2.33% weekly and 2.89% monthly decline. On a quarterly scale, prices are down 6.15%, matching the same 6.15% yearly drop from last year’s ₹89.50/kg. Though HDPE BM is trading at its yearly low of ₹84.00/kg (December 31, 2024), it still stands 9.68% below its yearly high of ₹93.00/kg (August 7, 2025), signaling a weak but stable demand environment. LDPE slipped marginally to ₹106.00/kg, down 0.47% weekly and 2.30% monthly. Quarterly, LDPE dropped 4.50%, but remains 1.44% above last year’s ₹104.50/kg, showing relative resilience. The grade is 3.92% higher than its yearly low of ₹102.00/kg (December 29, 2024) but 8.23% below its yearly high of ₹115.50/kg (April 2, 2025), highlighting steady support from packaging and coating applications. PVC registered the steepest fall this week, dropping to ₹65.50/kg, with a 4.38% weekly and 3.68% monthly decline. Quarterly, PVC is down 2.96%, and on a yearly basis it has fallen 13.25%. Despite being 2.34% above the yearly low of ₹64.00/kg (May 8, 2025), PVC remains 25.14% below its yearly high of ₹87.50/kg (June 3, 2025).
