₹ - $ November 3, 2025

Crude oil prices continued their downward trajectory this week, with Brent closing at 65.19, down 0.67% from last week’s 65.63. Despite a 1.68% monthly gain, crude has dropped 6.43% this quarter and remains 10.82% lower year-on-year, compared to 73.10 on November 2, 2024. The commodity has ranged between a yearly low of 58.95 (May 4, 2025) and a high of 82.03 (January 15, 2025), reflecting significant volatility in global oil markets. In the forex segment, the USD-INR closed at 88.76, slipping 1.06% weekly and 0.05% monthly, marking a 5.57% annual decline from last year’s 84.08. The pair traded close to its yearly low of 88.86 (October 9, 2025), just shy of last year’s high of 84.08 (November 3, 2024), showing mild rupee resilience amid global dollar weakness. Natural gas prices saw a sharp rebound, closing at 4.12, up 2.23% for the week and 21.18% over the month. The surge extended its quarterly rise to 33.77%, marking an impressive 54.89% annual gain from 2.66 last year. However, prices remain 8.24% below their yearly high of 4.49 (March 10, 2025), following a yearly low of 2.66 (November 10, 2024). Overall, while crude and the usd-inr showed weakness, natural gas emerged as the outperformer, supported by stronger seasonal demand and tighter inventories.Disclaimer: PolyMart does not offer guarantees regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of the information provided on its platform.
