The week ending saw mixed trends across crude, currency, and natural gas markets. Crude oil closed at 66.68, slipping 0.46% weekly. While prices rose 1.35% monthly, crude remains down 15.43% year-on-year, far below its January peak of 82.03. On the brighter side, it trades 13.11% above its yearly low of 58.95 recorded in May. USD-INR ended at 88.10, showing a mild 0.19% weekly gain. However, the rupee has weakened 5.36% over the year. The currency is hovering near its recent low of 88.27 touched last week, compared to the yearly high of 83.48 in September 2024. Natural gas closed at 2.88, posting a sharp 2.04% weekly fall, but a strong 4.35% monthly rebound. Despite a steep 29.41% quarterly decline, gas remains 11.20% higher year-on-year, supported by its recovery from the 2.30 low in October 2024. Still, it trades well below the 4.49 high from March 2025.
