Polymer Market Update: Mixed Trends Across Key Grades

The polymer market witnessed a mixed performance this week across major grades. PP Raffia closed at 86.00, registering a weekly dip of 0.58% and a quarterly fall of 7.53%. Despite touching a yearly low of 85.50 recently, it still remains 12.24% below its yearly high. LLDPE followed a similar trend, closing at 86.50 with weekly and monthly declines of 1.70% and 4.95% respectively. The product is down nearly 7% on a quarterly basis, with current levels significantly below its high of 97.00 seen earlier this year. HDPE BM also showed weakness, closing at 87.50, down 2.23% weekly and 1.13% quarterly. However, compared to last year, it has gained 4.17% from its yearly low of 84.00. On the positive side, LDPE remained the strongest performer, closing at 110.00 with a stable weekly performance. It has gained 4.27% quarterly and a solid 7.84% year-on-year, though still trading 4.76% below its peak of 115.50. Meanwhile, PVC saw continued pressure, ending at 68.00 with a sharp monthly drop of 6.85%. Despite being 6.25% higher than last year, it is down over 22% from its yearly high of 87.50. Overall, the market reflects demand softness in Raffia, LLDPE, and PVC, while LDPE continues to show resilience.
