Indian Polymer Market weekly update
The polymer market on 10 August 2025 displayed a blend of gains and declines across major categories, reflecting varied demand and supply conditions.PP Raffa prices closed at ₹90.20, marking a 0.44% weekly dip and a 3.58% monthly loss. Year-on-year, prices are down 5.40%, though they remain 2.68% above the yearly low of ₹87.85 recorded on 19 December 2024.LLDPE ended at ₹91.10, falling 1.88% weekly and 3.60% monthly. On an annual basis, however, the grade shows a 3.17% rise, staying well above its yearly low of ₹86.35 set in December 2024.In contrast, HDPE BM surged to ₹92.35, posting a 1.76% weekly and 6.46% quarterly gain. Year-on-year prices rose 1.37%, with the current level hovering near the annual high of ₹92.35.LDPE slipped to ₹110.85, down 0.45% weekly and 1.77% quarterly. Still, the grade enjoys a strong 6.23% yearly gain and remains 8.52% above its low of ₹102.15 from late December 2024.PVC prices improved slightly to ₹68.10, marking a 0.37% weekly and 1.87% quarterly gain. Yet, the grade is down 8.10% year-on-year, and far from its yearly peak of ₹87.60.Overall, the market reflects bullish momentum in HDPE BM and steady resilience in LDPE, while PP Raffa and LLDPE face short-term pressure.
