Crude Extends Recovery, Rises 13% from 52-Week Low

Crude oil January 29, 2026

CRUDE prices closed at 66.59 on 27 January 2026, reflecting a positive short-term trend in the commodity. On a weekly basis, prices rose 2.57% from 64.92 recorded on 20 January 2026, indicating steady buying interest during the week. On the monthly front, crude showed strong momentum, gaining 9.81% from 60.64 as of 27 December 2025. This sharp rise highlights improved sentiment and recovery after recent weakness. Looking at the quarterly performance, crude edged up 2.60% from 64.90 on 27 October 2025, suggesting modest stability over the last three months despite market volatility. However, on a year-on-year basis, crude prices remain under pressure, declining 12.59% from 76.18 recorded on 27 January 2025, underscoring longer-term challenges. Crude had touched its 52-week low of 58.92 on 16 December 2025, from which prices have rebounded 13.02%, pointing to a meaningful recovery from the bottom. Despite the rebound, crude is still trading below its 52-week high of 78.85, achieved on 19 June 2025, and remains 15.55% lower from that peak, indicating scope for further upside if momentum sustains.Disclaimer: PolyMart does not offer guarantees regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of the information provided on its platform.
